EDGE @ ERODE |
The Exhibition was inaugurated by Dr.M.S.Palanisamy, Vice Chancellor, Tamilnadu Open University, Chennai on 7 th May, 2005 at Rana Thirumana Mandapam, Erode. Erode District Collector and many Chairpersons and Correspondents of various Colleges participated in the function. 63 educational institutions, computer companies, automobile companies and a few Banks exhibited their facilities and products.

The exhibition was conducted for 3 days. Over 35,000 visitors enthusiastically interacted with the exhibitors. The pamphlets, booklets, CDs and materials explaining the infrastructure and academic excellence of the institutions were distributed to the concerned. Many institutions conducted spot admissions as well. The parents and students were apprised of the possible choice for the higher education they were seeking. It was estimated that around 5000 students were admitted on the spot.

The valedictory function was held on 9 th May, 2005. The feedback on the exhibition was overwhelming. All the exhibitors appreciated the arrangements and facilities provided for them. All the visitors were more than satisfied by the exhibitors. The outcome of the closing function was that the exhibition should be conducted every year.
